Two D.C. Men Get Life in Prison for Woman's Rape at Gunpoint

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – Two D.C. men have been sentenced to life in prison for raping a woman several times at gunpoint after she was forced to drive them to her Forestville home.

Nineteen-year-old Michael Wright and 20-year-old Jonathan Edmonds were both charged with first-degree rape for attacking a 27-year-old woman near the Savannah Street Metro Station.

On November 2, 2007, police said Wright and Edmonds forced the woman at gunpoint back in her car as she walked to a Metro stop. She was forced to tell her address and on the way home, she was forced to have sex with one of the men.

Once they arrived at her Forestville home, authorities say both men sexually assaulted her. Both pleaded guilty.
