A 2-year-old Texas girl who was inside her family’s pickup truck when it was stolen early Sunday morning, was found safe behind a shopping center within seven blocks of her home, police said.
An Amber Alert was issued for Aliyah Mejia, shortly after the 5 a.m. incident.
She was found about six hours later, and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
The 1998 maroon Nissan truck with Texas tags 926XWJ was taken from a location in the Edgemoor section of Houston, the Houston Chronicle reported.
